My Second Date

I went to Homecoming with one of my guy friends named Keaton. He asked me with this really cheesy movie he and his friends made together and at the very end they find this book and inside it says "EMILY WILL YOU GO TO HOMECOMING WITH ME?". It made me laugh. So when I answered back, I had the principal go into his classroom and present an academy award, infront of all his peers. I giggle at my originality. So the day of homecoming, we went on a day date to South Fork Park in Provo Canyon, where with a large group of Homecoming-goers, we ate lunch and then played many sweaty games (like steal the flag) in a big feild. Then Keaton brought me home where I spent a while getting ready for the dance. Then he picked me up, and we went to his friend, Hyrum's house where several couples (including us), ate a really fancy dinner catered by Hyrum's mom. It was yummy. Then we drove to the dance, and had a really fun time.

My first date

Since I turned sixteen in July, I have started going on dates. In my opinion, it's the funnest thing a teenager can do. My first date was on my sixteenth birthday, July 9th 2008 with one of my best guy friends, Israel. He picked me up, stopped for my mom to take a picture (typical) and we left. It was a pretty simple outing. We just drove around for a bit, stopped by the mall and then got some ice cream at SubZero. I think, if it was with anyone else, it would have been akward, or lacking in the conversation spectrum, but me and Israel talked for over an hour just about everything. When it started to get dark, we left the ice cream place, and he dropped me off at my friend Kara's apartment, where I had a sleepover with her and my other friend Jessica. Somehow it surprised me that my parents, (who are very cautious with the males in my life) let me go on a one-on-one date, because normally, they would have made me do a double date. For a first date, it was absolutely perfect.
